Juno CRM for Android and iOS · Last updated 24 September 2026
Juno CRM is a tool for school admissions teams. It is used by staff counsellors at a school that licenses Juno. Students and parents never install it.
Two groups of people appear in this policy:
Each school runs its own Juno workspace on its own subdomain. The school is the data controller for everything held in it. Obladi Creatives operates the software as a processor, acting on that school's instructions.
Your name, email address and role — so you can sign in, and so activity is attributed to the right counsellor. Sign-in uses an access token held in your device's hardware-backed secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain). Your password is never stored on the device.
Prospective student and parent names, phone numbers, email addresses, enquiry source, grade applied for, and the notes, tasks and activity your team records. This is the school's own admissions data; the app is a window onto it.
You can message a parent on WhatsApp from a lead's page. Those messages are sent and received through your school's WhatsApp Business account, so the message text, the parent's phone number and the time of each message are stored on that lead's conversation in your school's Juno workspace. They are delivered through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform.
From a lead's page you can choose Record meeting to capture an in-person admissions conversation, for example when a parent visits the school office. The app uses your phone's microphone only on that screen, only after you tap Record, and only until you tap Stop. It never listens in the background.
When you stop, the audio is uploaded to your school's Juno workspace and attached to that lead. It is then transcribed and summarised so your team has a written record of the conversation (see who processes it). Please tell the people in the room that you are recording; your school may have its own rules about when recording is appropriate.
If you enable Account → Call sync, the app reads your device's call log so that calls to prospective parents are logged against the right student record automatically, with their real duration and outcome.
How the matching works, plainly. To work out which calls belong to a lead, the app sends the phone numbers from your recent call log to your school's Juno server, which replies with the ones that match your leads. That covers the last three days, or the last seven days the first time you switch Call sync on.
Numbers you called for personal reasons are included in that check, even though they are discarded immediately and never attached to any record. If you would rather that did not happen, leave Call sync switched off — it is off by default, the app is fully usable without it, and you can revoke the permission at any time in your device settings.
The app cannot record your phone calls and never attempts to.
Some phones' built-in dialers can record calls themselves. If yours does and you enable Attach call recordings, the app asks for access to audio files so it can find recordings your dialer has already saved and attach them to the matching logged call. It only considers audio files that look like call recordings. An attached recording is uploaded to your school's workspace, where it is transcribed and analysed in the same way as a meeting recording so a manager can review the call.
Call sync and call recordings are not available on iPhone: iOS does not give apps access to the call log.
If notifications are enabled for your school, a Firebase Cloud Messaging token and a device name are registered so alerts reach the right phone. The token is deleted when you sign out.
| Location | Never requested |
|---|---|
| Contacts | Never requested |
| Camera | Never requested |
| Microphone | Only while you are recording a meeting, after you tap Record |
| Photos & files | Only call-recording audio, only on Android, and only if you opt in |
| Advertising & tracking | No ad SDKs, no analytics SDKs, no cross-app tracking |
| Selling your data | Never. Not to anyone, for any purpose. |
All traffic is encrypted over HTTPS to your school's own Juno workspace at
https://[your-school].junoapp.in. Data is not pooled or shared between schools.
We use the following service providers to run Juno. Each receives only what it needs for the purpose listed, and none of them is permitted to use it for anything else.
| Service | What it receives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Hostinger | Hosts each school's workspace and the data in it | Running the service |
| Google Gemini | The question asked; the school’s own knowledge-base content; lead details, notes and activity history; and transcripts of call and meeting recordings | Knowledge-base answers, lead summaries, suggested next steps, lead scoring, and call and meeting analysis |
| ElevenLabs | The audio of call and meeting recordings | Turning recordings into text transcripts |
| Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) | WhatsApp messages you send to and receive from parents, and their phone numbers | Delivering WhatsApp conversations with parents |
| Google Firebase Cloud Messaging | Notification token and message payload | Delivering push notifications, where enabled |
Lead records, activity, WhatsApp conversations, and call and meeting recordings with their transcripts are kept for as long as the school maintains its Juno subscription, unless the school deletes them sooner or sets a shorter retention period for WhatsApp messages. When a school's account closes, its data is deleted on the school's instruction or within 90 days. Notification tokens are deleted when you sign out.
Because your school controls this data, requests to access, correct, export or delete it should go to the school first. You can also contact us at hey@obladicreatives.com and we will route it appropriately.
You may withdraw microphone, call-log and audio-file access at any time in your device's app settings, without losing any other functionality.
If you are in India, you may raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer, Ruthvik, at ruthvik@obladicreatives.com, under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Juno holds details about prospective students, some of whom are minors. That information is supplied by the school and by the parents who enquire — it is never collected from a child through this app. The app is not directed to children and is not distributed to them.
We will notify schools in-app or by email before any material change takes effect, and update the date at the top of this page.
